this is fun. i like it. i like taking inspiration where i find it and exploring where it goes within my own frame of reference. cool on this.
I was actually at the National Gallery Victoria for a symposium on Dali. The Dali exhibition was brilliant and I spent the whole day there. During a tea break I wandered into a small exhibition of incan sculpture and was in awe of what I saw.
i can believe it. i’d like the dali symposium too, i’m sure. there are some awesome mid and south american pottery and clay traditions that are really outstanding. i find that kind of work extremely inspiring and so full of ideas… ha, now that i think about it… some of your cut paper sculptures really bring dali’s work to life. those are really cool works, they stick in my skull.
