Open Studio Art weekend went really well, we had less people Saturday because of the hot weather but the dedicated art lovers, family, friends and neighbours came around by Sunday.
I met I met lots of lovely people and enjoyed the conversations we had. Many people were interested in the process I used when making an artwork. My work was described as Works on Paper or Mixed Media. I think people were also surprised when they saw the new drawings that I was working on for 2013 however my Fine Art Degree is in fact in drawing – I just also love found images, collage, digital and mixing things up.
Several people took workshop flyers about mixed media classes and also left details for future exhibitions – I will be in touch however you can contact me directly when interested in locking in dates.
I have a few photos of the event, some of my puppy who was visiting neighbours for a while, at puppy school for a while and at one stage frightened a little girl and made her cry.
Thanks to everyone that came to this event and for the publicity from Northcote Leader, Yarra Leader, Melbourne Times, Leda ‘whats on’ etc.
- Cutout characters are now digital prints on cards.
Thought I would show you my latest buy from Camberwell Market – the Indan Toy and of course some puppy photos.
