More abstract art and a visit to the gorgeous Yarra Valley.

paper collage box

PaintingHere is a new detail from my current painting which is abstract again. I am loving it. Although the style is so different to what I have been doing in the past I am finding lots of commonalities e.g. layering, introducing new shapes, finding images by sanding or erasure.

Went to the Yarra Valley yesterday. Saw an exhibition at Tarrawarra, went to the new chocolate factory where there were a million school children (school holidays) enjoying the hills. I saw them rolling down the hill, playing football, walking around alone (no traffic) it was really gorgeous and the chocolate was beautiful. Went and had lunch at the Gilded Lily in Healsville.
