Mixed Media Artist Book

Have a look at the little pocket sized artists book that I made.

I haven’t seen it for a long while.  I think I made it about a year ago because someone gave me some leather like offcuts to make a cover for it.

There is another image on Instagram annewarrenart.

I have conducted and will again conduct day workshops in making a simple artists book using mixed media.  These artist books are treasures to be kept or given as a gift.

The artist can bring along images that have some appeal to them personally or bring along text they like or have written themselves.

Wonderfully inspirational. Making artist books can be addictive. Are you aware of the work that Cheryl Penn does? http://www.cherylpenn.com/wpb/ or else she’s on artistbooks.ning.com, doing collaborative mail art. She is in the process of collecting artist books for an exhibition called An Encyclopedia of Everything which will first be exhibited in Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa and after there is talk of the exhibition going international. Have a look at her site and see if you’d like to participate. This is a stunner.

Hello Icarswell, I wanted to look at your work again – do you have privacy settings up because I cannot just click on to your name to find you – I’m still unsure of gravatars.
