Happy Happy Australia Day!
A gorgeous Summer day in Melbourne for Australia Day. I spent it in the National Gallery Victoria doing a drop in drawing class in their garden. About 50 adults and children were encouraged to draw from the beautiful Henry Moore sculpture that was in front of us. We had fabulous views of the fly by planes that were doing their routine manouvers – which were pretty amazing.
I missed the parade however we saw lots of people in saris, scottish pipers walking by, people wearing Australian flags on the top of their heads, performers of chinese origin and so much more. Our drawing instructor was encouraging us to draw weird and that weird was the go when suddenly a plane flew by us upside down.
