
Here is my painting entry for the Belle Arti Prize Exhibition. It is called ‘Dahlia Walks’.
2014 Belle Arti Prize
ALL ENTRANTS WILL BE GIVEN AN IDENTICAL 35 X 35CM CANVAS, A LIMITED TIME FRAME, AND TOTAL CREATIVE CARTE BLANCHE.
I painted this surreal image in acrylics from a collage and drawing I made earlier this year.
I love the image, I think you can sometimes say that about your work. Well I hope you like it too.
About 2014 Belle Arti Prize
The Belle Arti Prize 2014 Exhibition will be held at the fantastic Chapman & Bailey Melbourne Gallery space located at 350 Johnston St, Abbotsford.
Chapman & Bailey Gallery are very excited to be hosting this prize as we acknowledge the depth of talent that exists in the arts community in Australia and we are very pleased to support it in this way.
Over 250 entries from across Australia were received for the 2013 Belle Arti Chapman Bailey Art Prize. The result was a floor to ceiling contemporary salon hang, and a veritable world of multiple artistic visions.This year we hope for just as big a snap shot of the richness and diversity of arts practice in Australia. All entrants will be given an identical 35 x 35cm canvas, a limited time frame, and total creative carte blanche.
The award is a $5000 acquisitive prize. Judges to be announced. Previous winners of the Belle Arti Chapman Bailey Prize are Jackie Stockdale 2009, Lewis Miller 2010, Marie Hagerty 2011/2012 and Karen Black 2013.
Opening and announcement of the 2014 winner 6-8pm Tuesday 25th November. The 2014 Belle Arti Prize Exhibition will be held at Chapman & Bailey Artspace, 350 Johnston Street Abbotsford.
