
Had so much fun teaching still life painting today.
Same set up, different choices in view, colour, underpainting, background, brushes, medium and pencil.
These are works in progress and are coming along beautifully. Congratulations to Janice, Helen and Sal for such successful pieces in just one workshop. I look forward to seeing your finished pieces in the future.

Hi Donna, The intention was to follow some rules so that I could give them as much information as possible. I’m sure when they go home they will keep some of what they learn’t and add their own particular way of doing things. I love teaching these classes and have met some great people.

Yep looks very similar because I try to push them along so that they have at least the layered background done and we decided the fruit might be difficult so did that and at least one vase. It is hard to complete a painting in the three hours we have. I think they did very well.
Yes they did. You can tell they are painted from the same source, but each shows an individual interpretation.
