Alphington Park and some new happenings.

I just thought I would show you a gorgeous part of where I live.

Took Ninna my kelpie for first walk for 2017 to Alphington Park.  No soccer players, footballers or cricketers at this time of year so we have the whole oval plus much more space to throw and chase the ball.  So peaceful.  Room for more people and dogs of course but not 5000.   Looming next door is the old paper mill which is being developed into housing for up to 5000 people.  I have been told that there are no green spaces within the development which I find disappointing.  I hope I am wrong.  I am certainly not anti the development but just wish there was a little bit of green grass to walk pets and or sit on a bench in the sun.

I think the comment “..first walk for 2017…” is hysterical – we haven’t opened the champagne on 2017 yet her in California! We did however go for a walk around Laguna Lake in the rain as the last walk of 2016.

I knew it would jolt a few people on the other side of the world. Hope you enjoy the champagne.

It is amazing they are turning the mill into housing. That is wonderful recycling! And don’t worry — I am sure there will be greenery woven into the new landscape.
