Collage in my backyard workshop.
We had a fabulous workshop with a group of gorgeous women. They were brave enough to come to the workshop without any planning, no preconceived ideas which can be daunting for many people.
What emerged was some beautiful squeegied backgrounds (see the yellow and amber one) some clever cutouts, (see the linked boxers, fish, rabbit).
I actually showed my work at the beginning of the class which I do not normally do. I showed how easy it is to move a piece of paper from one scene into another and how to not be too precious about things. If your paper cut breaks/tears it is easily fixable with glue. We used beautiful Fabriano and Arches 300gsm paper.
Everyone brought food to share, we had scones and homemade raspberry jam, apricots and bubbly. It was a great day.
Getting together with like minds is wonderful. I have to find some like minds and craft myself!
