My digital artwork has been used by new on-line business Gertrude and Smith.
I am so happy to have a Giclee Print image on new on-line luxury gift parcel business Gertrude + Smith.
Being selected was not a given, even though it is my Son’s new business. He is working hard to launch around June this year. It’s a hard life as he has me sampling chocolates, cocktails, candles etc. Such a hard life. Please look him up, subscribe to his website and follow him on his instagram as listed below. He will be doing competitions and offering his beautiful gift parcels to a follower soon. Everything is Premium, I have never heard that word used so much in my life. Premium.
The artwork he has printed on a card is called ‘I’m in Smith Street’.
Alphington Open Studio art weekend is coming up 24th and 25th November.
Hope to see some of you at this very special event this year. We have thirteen artists including some special guest artists exhibiting. You will see my collage and my still life paintings plus from everyone else you will see either sculpture, jewellery, tapestry, textiles, glass, ceramics, mosaic, drawing and more. I hope you will come along with a friend or a neighbour and take a stroll around Alphington to see us next weekend. All artwork will be for sale.
Exhibition of Collage at Tuggeranong Arts in Canberra on now.
I have just returned from a wonderful trip to Canberra for the Opening of my Solo Exhibition – Mergence. I loved Canberra including the National Gallery, National Portrait Gallery, Floriade, Arboretum, Glass Making Factory/Warehouse, Market, quirky Kendell Lane, Little Istanbul and numerous restaurants for delicious food.
The workshop I conducted was at the Arts Centre which backed on to the lake, so we dragged our chairs outside and had lunch with a view. Beautiful time. Great people. x
I hope more people will come to see the artwork. It is 3D collage assemblage.
Mergence was my response to an umbrella title Entropy. Everything fragments, everything disintergrates. My selected subjects fragment and merge, histories merge, people merge, animals merge. I would like to think that they successfully merge and are not too surreal to imagine. A fisherperson becomes part fish part person. Someone that loves their house becomes part person part house. Late night collage nonsense in sepia.
This is one of 5 or 6 in a series I made from just two books. They were actually black and white but I changed them to sepia digitally.
Just having a bit of fun with the cliche scale of people and objects. I never tire of the absurdity of unexpected scale.
More of these on instagram annewarrenart.
These are not in Canberra but I will be in Tuggeranong early in October. Please come along and see my exhibition. Come and say hello at the Opening night Thursday 4th October at 6pm.
